National Association of Educators in Practice Keynote

Ahead of International Women’s Day, I was delighted to join the National Association of Educators in Practice to deliver a keynote on Flourishing Spaces. Meeting inspiring colleagues across healthcare professions was a reminder of how much we can learn from one another.

💡 Some key questions from the session included:

How do we adapt our approach given increasing anxiety among students and junior staff?

  • What training exists for facilitating safe and inclusive spaces?

  • How do we support students who may struggle with these conversations?

  • Can we build a community of practice to sustain this work?

These discussions reinforced the importance of thoughtful facilitation, co-creation, and the need to develop a shared language within medical and healthcare education.

Thank you, Professor John Hammond, for the invitation and your generous reflections afterward. Your kind words about the keynote being “authentic, inspiring, reflective, and warm” meant so much.
